Injection molding for DSI hollow bodies
About injection molding for DSI hollow bodies.
DSI (Die Slide Injection Molding) is an injection molding method developed by Japan Steel Works that allows for the rapid and accurate molding of complex internal structures in hollow bodies. In the first injection, semi-finished products (two-part products) are molded, and the mold is slid using a hydraulic mechanism to form the hollow body. Further, melting and bonding are performed through a second injection. The DSI method also resolves issues such as uneven wall thickness and weak bonding strength that were seen in conventional hollow molding methods. ■Features■ - Capable of molding complex hollow bodies and assembly molding with insert parts, as well as sealing molding. - Eliminates the need for post-processing, contributing to reduced molding costs and increased productivity. - Bonding areas have a strength approximately 1.5 to 2.0 times that of vibration welding. - Easy control of wall thickness (1.5 to 5.0 mm) and high dimensional accuracy. *For more details, please inquire through a request for materials or download.
